32th Granollers Jazz Festival
After their first collaboration at Toma Café, Marco Mezquida and Joan Vidal reunite with the prestigious clarinet quartet to present Black Pool Suite, a musical commissioned by the same quartet to the composer and drummer from Granollers and inspired by Dubliners de James Joyce. The play consists of seven visual and sound poems that recreate stories of anonymous heroes who live very different realities in the same city. Loneliness, love or loss are the driving forces behind this musical gear ranging from jazz and improvisation to the sounds of Messiaen or Stravinsky.
